For Inktober this year, I decided to interpret scenes from a book I greatly enjoy. The book is called A Conspiracy of Kings, and it is book 4 in the Queen's Thief series by Meghan Whalen Turner about a pseudo-Greco/Roman/Byzantine country. During the first quarter of the book, the main character finds himself traveling between different areas of an estate, and I have spent hours trying to find an ideal layout of the estate's lands based on the narration, historical architecture, and how I see it in my head. I'm still not completely satisfied with the final layout, but the final version makes the most sense so far.
